Beware if you send a consumer complaint. Check this site for spammers..

I visited your Home Goods store in Destin Florida. On Friday the 16th of May 2014 at 8:22 pm

I was waited on by Store Manager DONNA

I was returning a faulty electrical salt lamp amber in color on a wood base, your large size.

I only wanted to exchange for the same item.

I was told no.."I had to return, get the money back and then repurchase". I did not have my slip as I did not know the lamp would leak salt liquefied all over my wood table.

She, Donna proceeded to find a small cheaper quality white night-light.

Offering me less than my purchase price. I explained the night light was not the same item.

"She stated without a receipt that was what I had to take", she stated no others in the store. (I looked and there was)

My husband said I would not return and would try to find the receipt.

I stated in a normal voice not angry, " I was disappointed in the customer service that I shop in your store every Friday night. I and my two daughters are decorating our homes".

She stated "Well isn't that nice, I am glad you do." I said I just felt that it was not the same item. "She said well that is what I offered you."

The difference in my paying price and the price of the offered price was $2.00 I would have taken it but her manner was so rude and belittling that I left the store with my very highly defective electrical lamp, feeling so confused as to why her attitude was so rude to a customer who loves the HOME GOODS store.

So here I sit with a faulty lamp and a feeling of not wanting to shop there anymore.

I realize I am just one lone shopper, but a disappointed one. Who spent in the year 2014 $783.75 on just one charge card.

That and posting rude and nasty comments to people who just lost their husband or are deathly ill. Making racist comments about people who complained their pets died by saying sell it to a Chinese restaurant for their meat.

Search his name and you will see all sorts of *** from him.

He changes and got my name and made all sorts of remarks in my name. I dislike this site so much.

He is a *** and online bully that is why I think, my eight year old brother wrote a review to walmart and he called him a retard and made fun of his spelling and grammar. He also claimed he got kicked out of school so he has a lot of time on his hands.

Guys I should not have to bring a receipt, I shop there every Friday and they should remember what I bought, the cashier did not even remember me, and so what if I forgot the receipt, it happens, I have a feeling I would have been treated differently by DONNA if I were white, but since I am black and DONNA is discriminating against me. Also I don't know who is spamming and posting in my name but someone hacked my account. I never hit my daughter.

No one is discriminating against you, you simply have to follow the same rules as everyone else. You cannot get special treatment just because you are black and play the race card when you have to follow the same rules as everyone else. A white person would be treated the same without a receipt.

user Kevin Richards from Orange California, age 15. total nutcase, usually poses as OP pretending to be either a drunk or child beater, but I do have to agree with the others that Donna was not rude until you were rude first.

No one hacked your account they just simply posted your name where it asks for name without signing on.

No one is spamming, they are simply telling you that you were wrong for stating you were disappointed in the customer service when it was you who forgot the receipt, and I agree with them if you are a regular customer you should have bought the receipt with you.

Not every receipt is kept if you do not intend to return. I did not know this item was defective and going to leak liquid salt all over y furniture.

I only wanted to evenly exchange. I wanted no money and most stores will allow you to evenly exchange for the same item. I was not rude to her and said nothing loud a defensive. Only asked to exchange defective item.

I and not doing all this posting. I have someone using my name.

Wow, sounds like you the one that got sarcastic when they did not allow you to purchase the same item without a receipt. You may be disappointed but I agree with the other posters your own fault for not bringing your receipt, you being a loyal customer should have known that they were not going to allow the full return without and you should have looked for it instead of being sarcastic because they would not change the rules just for you.

Oh that is just immature blaming your losing control and hitting your daughter on Donna. I am glad that your child was taken from you because clearly you have anger issues.

You don't go around smacking your child because you are angry at someone else, you should be ashamed of yourself. Also I agree with the other poster you were rude and sarcastic first. Why not grow up and stop blaming everyone else for your mistakes, first you make a sarcastic comment to the manager because you forgot to bring a receipt. You may be disappointed but really you should be disappointed in yourself.

First of all you lost your receipt, it is called a receipt not a slip so you have no proof that you purchased the item. Second telling you no and not changing the rules just for you is not the same as being rude.

Sounds to me like you had an attitude yourself and acted childish when you did not have your receipt, why did you and your husband not bring it with you? If you really shopped in their store every Friday you would know about their receipt policy, you forgot to bring it so you should have done the adult thing and taken blame for your actions.

Her manner would not have been rude had you acted your age.

PS, she also called the police on me because I was with my daughters and one of them started crying, so I smacked her because I was angry at the manager. The police showed up and said that this was abuse and they would take my daughter away, they also told me to not blame the manager.

Hitting your child is abuse and you are a child abuser.You should be in jail hopefully they took your other kid away from you also.Thank You to the manager who protected your kids by calling the police.
